Pavement preservation work will force the closure of 219 th Avenue from Deer Valley to Pinnacle Peak roads from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 26 and Wednesday, Aug. 27.

A double chip seal treatment will be applied to build on the existing roadway and provide a smooth continuous surface with two 12-foot travel lanes as well as a four-foot shoulder with millings.

The lanes will reopen each day as soon as the work is completed.

Emergency access will be maintained.

Traffic will be detoured to Deer Valley Road.

Detour signs will be posted.
