For most of the offseason, it appeared that ALA-West Foothills would roll into the 4A Conference with almost the exact team that played in the 3A title game last year.

That was until July, when Coach Chad Mitton stepped down to focus on his business at Triton Wealth Management in the East Valley and his son, senior quarterback Hudson Mitton, transferred to Mesa.

In the wake of that, junior wide receiver Amr Hassan transferred to Canyon View. And that was it, basically. The rest of the returning starters and the coaching staff stayed put.
