PARK CITY, Utah (ABC4) -- The Summit County Sheriff's Office has issued a "shelter-in-place" order for residents in Park City as law enforcement responds to an active situation.

"Law Enforcement is responding to an incident in the area of Trailside Park," the sheriff's office posted on Facebook. "This is an active situation involving a potentially armed individual. All residents in the area are urged to shelter in place and report any suspicious persons in the area to 911 immediately."

The public is urged to stay away from the area of Trailside Park -- a sprawling park located at 5715 Trailside Dr., Park City.
