Good morning Gang Green Nation!
Cutdown day is imminent. With less than 36 hours remaining before NFL teams have to get down to 53 players on their roster, the New York Jets have already cut 12 players and traded another. More than 20 other moves are still to be made. Perhaps the biggest question remaining is will the Jets move to improve a shaky wide receiver group? The Detroit Lions’ Tim Patrick is among the names the Jets are rumored to be interested in. I’m skeptical they will trade assets for a soon to be 32 year old receiver who has 33 NFL receptions since 2021. That kind of move doesn’t seem to fit what the Jets have been doing since Aaron Glenn took over the franchise, but who knows? Perhaps Glenn’s familiarity with Patrick from their time together in Detroit will spark a trade.
