PERU – Indiana State Police Superintendent Anthony Scott recently announced the promotion of Master Trooper Adam York to the rank of Trooper Detective.

York is a 13-year veteran of the Indiana State Police Department. He earned his assignment to the Investigations Bureau through written testing and a competitive oral interview process. York’s responsibilities will include conducting criminal investigations and managing, investigating, and processing crime scenes.

York is a native of Chesterton, Indiana, and attended Chesterton High School, where he graduated in 2005. Upon graduation, York joined the United States Army, where he served until 2013, obtaining the rank of Sergeant.
