CARROLLTON, Mo - The Carroll County Memorial Hospital has received another recognition from the American Heart Association's Get with the Guidelines Program.

The hospital has earned Coronary Artery Disease STEMI Referring Center Bronze recognition. This is in honor of the hospital's commitment to offering rapid, research-based care to people experiencing an ST elevation myocardial infraction (STEMI). These are known to be some of the more severe and dangerous types of heart attacks.

Recognition as a STEMI Referring Center is designed to showcase hospitals of all sizes on the front line of care. This award is earned by hospitals that demonstrate a commitment to getting patients the most up-to-date research-based care for STEMI as outlined by the American Heart Association.
