Residential search leads to drug charges for two in Johnson County

JOHNSON COUNTY — Two women are facing drug charges in Johnson County stemming from a residential search in June.

Dana Sue Metcalf of Windsor and Kathryn Jean Griffin of Warrensburg are charged with possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Metcalf is additionally charged with hindering prosecuting, drug trafficking and delivery of a controlled substance.

A probable cause statement says authorities went to the residence to find a wanted male subject accused of trafficking narcotics. Metcalf denied knowing the man’s whereabouts but granted consent to a search of the residence.
