BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) -- SPoT Coffee announced on Sunday the permanent closure of its Clarence location.

The 5205 Transit Road location's last day in business was Sunday. The business thanked the community for its patronage and support in a social media post.

"This was not an easy decision," SPoT President and CEO Anton Ayoub said in a statement. "We are incredibly grateful to the Clarence community for embracing us over the years. This closure follows a comprehensive review of the café's financial performance and its long-term alignment with our location strategy."

Ayoub said the Clarence location had "unique challenges" because of its accessibility and traffic patterns, and that there will be no additional closures.
