NEW CITY, N.Y. (PIX11) — A Rockland County man has pleaded guilty in connection with a second murder plot to kill his wife, the district attorney's office announced Monday.

Ira Bernstein, 51, was arrested in 2016 and pleaded guilty to conspiring to kill his wife and assault two insurance investigators. He was sentenced to 5 to 15 years in prison and placed under a 10-year order of protection in favor of his wife, according to DA Thomas Walsh II.

In July 2021, Bernstein was released from prison on merit by the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision.
