BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Buffalo man was sentenced to 25 years to life in prison for stabbing his ex-girlfriend to death last year at her home in Lackawanna, the Erie County District Attorney's Office said Monday.
Michael Harris, 56, stabbed his ex-girlfriend, 48-year-old Tanya Stump, around 2 a.m. on July 7, 2024, outside of her home on Anthony Drive. Prosecutors said the two were in an argument and he stabbed her in the neck. She was found by family members on the back porch of the home around 10 a.m. the same day.
The crime came after a no-contact order had been issued on Stump's behalf in 2023 in West Seneca and Lackawanna.
