PETTIS COUNTY — An Amish man already jailed in Benton County for allegedly committing child sex crimes is now charged with similar offenses in Pettis County.
In his new case, Jared Wagler, 48, of Windsor is charged with first-degree statutory sodomy, two counts of second-degree statutory sodomy and statutory rape.
In the probable cause statement he is accused of sexually assaulting the victim multiple times from 2012 to 2019. Three victims were interviewed in the Benton County case filed in 2023, according to court records. The earliest assault reportedly occurred in 2002. The most recent event happened in 2022.
