AMHERST, N.Y. (WIVB) -- A local EMT who responded to the fatal tour bus crash on I-90 in Pembroke said Friday is a day she will never forget.

Michele Gogolowski has been working as an EMT with Twin City Ambulance for eight years.

Gogolowski said she and her partner were somewhere on Transit Road when they received a call about the tour bus rollover. Initially, dispatchers sent the pair to the Newstead Fire Hall, but just when they were about to arrive, they told Gogolowski and her partner to go straight to the scene on I-90.

"It took us about 12 minutes to get there," Gogolowski said. "We were there pretty quickly and there were already a ton of people there."

Gogolowski has responded to just about every kind of call imaginable, but she said this one was like no other.
