RIVER NORTH — A group of burglars stormed a Nordstrom store in River North and stole over $100,000 worth of designer clothing and accessories Sunday evening, according to police and media reports.
Just before 7 p.m Sunday, about 10 people got out of three cars and forced their way into Nordstrom, 55 E. Grand Ave., police said. The thieves, wearing face coverings and dressed in black, struggled with a security guard at the entrance and caused roughly $5,000 in damages to the door they forced entry through, according to the Sun-Times.
Once inside the department store, the group swarmed a Louis Vuitton boutique and took about $130,000 in clothing and purses, the Sun-Times reported.
