A local woman has been sentenced to a term of deferred probation following an incident with a cooking pan that left a 12-year-old boy with a laceration on his forehead earlier this year.

Tiffany Arthur, 33, of Killeen, was indicted on March 5 on a third-degree felony charge of injury to a child. She entered a guilty plea on June 18, court records show.

On Friday in the 478th Judicial District Court, Judge Wade Faulkner followed a plea agreement and did not find Arthur guilty, instead sentencing her to a term of five years of deferred adjudication probation, according to Bell County court records.
