Conway schools are back in the news again, as a trio of district parents head to court in hopes of keeping Christian dogma out of their children’s classrooms.
As you may recall, a federal judge recently ruled that a state law requiring public school districts to display posters of the Ten Commandments in all classrooms was “obviously unconstitutional” and ordered the four northwest Arkansas districts being sued not to display the commandments.
While the judge’s decision affected only districts specifically named in the lawsuit, the American Civil Liberties Union of Arkansas cautioned all other school districts in the state not to post the commandments lest they also be sued.
