TIOGA, La. (KALB) - Update: Jacob Alexander Rodriguez’s charges were dismissed under “no case.”

Two men were arrested on Thanksgiving Day after a shots-fired call led to a barricaded suspect situation in Tioga, according to the Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office.

RPSO responded to the 3900 block of Rosebud Lane around 7:44 p.m. on November 28 regarding an armed barricaded suspect.

Witnesses said a disturbance developed between two men, one armed with a knife and the other armed with a firearm. Witnesses also said a shot was fired outside a home in the direction of the suspect with the knife. It was determined that the suspect, who allegedly fired the shot, then retreated to the home and refused to exit when deputies arrived.
