NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Since the COVID-19 pandemic, Americans have been able to get COVID-19 vaccines at major pharmacies with relative ease. But CVS and Walgreens recently made national headlines after announcing changes in how they will administer the vaccine in at least the near future.

“I’m not for it and hopefully we can come to some kind of compromise, but a lot of things are in the mix,” said Louis Martin, a New Orleans resident.

CVS told FOX 8 in an email that doctor’s prescriptions will now be required for COVID-19 vaccines in certain states. According to the company, state pharmacy laws govern where it can currently vaccinate. CVS said:
