CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Carolina Panthers are closer to finalizing their roster for the regular season.
The Panthers waived 17 players, released one player, and released another player from injured reserve.
Quarterbacks Jack Plummer and Bryce Perkins were waived, leaving Bryce Young and Andy Dalton as the only quarterbacks on the Panthers roster. Plummer saw the most action in the preseason and spent 2024 on Carolina's practice squad and the active roster during the season's final two weeks. Perkins was brought in ahead of Thursday's preseason finale against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
