A New Hampshirite who admitted to a seven-month long string of break-ins, thefts and being annoying across downtown and the North End was sentenced last week to 18 months in jail, followed by three years of probation that include the condition he stay away from Boston during that time, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office reports.

Timothy Dearborn, 41, who already had an extensive record in his home state, pleaded guilty Wednesday to larceny from a building, breaking and entering, trespassing and other charges, the DA's office says, adding Boston Municipal Court Judge Paul Treseler actually sentenced Dearborn to 30 months in jail, but suspended 12 months on condition he stay out of trouble during his probation.
