Kids may not know what they want to be when they grow up, but on Saturday, they learned about plenty of exciting options.

The Fairbanks Children’s Museum held its seventh annual Career Day at Pioneer Park on Saturday, and a bevy of volunteers shared their careers with youngsters — all with fun career-related activities.

Green Star gave kids a hands-on exercise in recycling, presenting them with a pile of recyclables that they then had to move into individual bins — paper, plastic, aluminum, tin cans and electronics.

Over at the Interior NAPA Autocare Center booth, kids learned how to change a tire on an all-terrain vehicle. This skill soon became an impromptu contest of who could change that tire the fastest. One young tire-changer came back 25 times until he had the fastest time on rec
