Elimination of overnight broadcasting and television channels, dropping popular programs, and reducing service to the Nenana area are among the cuts coming to KUAC TV 9 and FM 89.9 following the loss of federal funding.
KUAC announced the cuts Monday as it prepares for a $1.2 million shortfall after Congress rescinded $1.1 billion in federal spending meant to forward-fund public television and radio for 2026 and 2027.
