Lacombe Police attempted a traffic stop after members of the LPS saw a sedan being driven erratically on Aug. 23.

The silver four-door sedan, believed to be a 2005-2007 Ford Five Hundred, was travelling eastbound on Woodland Drive toward C and E Trail.

Police attempted a traffic stop after noting the vehicle was displaying an Alberta license plate, CRL-9363, which didn't match the vehicle.

The driver, described as a white man wearing glasses, failed to stop and continued northbound on Highway 2 at approximately 160 km/h.

Due to concerns for public safety, no pursuit was initiated.

A 'Be On the Lookout' was issued to surrounding police detachments.
