Freedom Mobile has launched wireless services in Chatham-Kent, Ont., as well as Ridgetown, Wallaceburg, Blenheim, Dresden, Thamesville, and Bothwell, among others.

Starting today, Chatham-Kent residents will benefit from Freedom’s offerings. These services include Roam Beyond in more than 120 destinations, and plans like 60GB/$39 with unlimited talk and text.

Notably, Freedom says the expansion was enabled by “partner agreements” through the CRTC’s Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) framework. While it’s not clear which providers Freedom partnered with, the MVNO framework has enabled other new entrants into the wireless market, most recently Cogeco using Telus’ network .
