UTICA, NY (WUTR/WFXV/WPNY) -- Two Utica teenagers have been arrested over the last week and another is still on the loose after a month-long investigation into a kidnapping and bank fraud.
Utica Police took a report in late July from a victim who claimed they were forced against their will to withdraw money from a bank fraudulently. According to the report, the victim had met up with a group of acquaintances.
During the course of the conversation, the victim was threatened with a handgun and forced to cash stolen checks from banks around the area. Initially, the transactions would not process. When the attempt to cash the checks failed, the suspects -- a 17-year-old juvenile, an unknown 19-year-old, and a man later identified as 18-year-old Jean Rivera of Utica -- took the victim to a ne
