UTICA, NY (WUTR/WFXV/WPNY) -- Utica Police arrested two people on Monday night after an incident on St. Vincent Street involving a bat and a handgun.

Police were called to the 1100 block of St. Vincent Street in East Utica at approximately 10:40 pm on Monday, September 1. Upon arrival, they spoke with several victims who claimed that a female -- later identified as 48-year-old Jamie DeGristina of Utica -- came to their home and began to act erratically.

During the encounter with the victims, DeGristina allegedly slapped the victim's daughter in the face unprovoked. The victim also stated that her son came downstairs to check on the commotion, at which point, DeGristina allegedly attacked him as well.
