NEW HARTFORD, NY (WUTR/WFXV/WPNY) -- A juvenile was arrested over the weekend by New Hartford Police after they led officers on a chase on Higby Road last week.

Officers responded to the parking lot of the Sitrin Home on Tilden Avenue at approximately 8:30 am on Tuesday, August 26, responding to a staff call of a suspicious vehicle. The vehicle had first been observed by staff at approximately 6:45 am, and it was initially reported that two males were sleeping in the vehicle.

Staff reports say that they had advice the males to leave; however, they did not comply with their request, leading to the report.

Upon their arrival, officers approached the vehicle and observed that the license plates had allegedly been stolen from a different vehicle. At that time, the passenger woke up and aler
