The Pulaski County Maroons welcomed in the Somerset Briar Jumpers for a key crosstown district contest on Monday. In what was a battle between the two schools with less than 10 miles separating each other, the Maroons were able to control the ball for majority of the contest en route to a 3-0 shutout win over their rivals.
Bryson Church had the first close attempt of the game in the sixth minute, but the ball was eventually kicked away by Keegan Keith in goal. The Maroons had a few close attempts over the next few minutes until they found pay dirt in the 17th minute. Landon Hamilton was able to rebound a corner kick near the top of the box, with his shot sailing into the right side of the goal for a 1-0 Pulaski lead.
