BERKELEY COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A tragic accident claimed the life of a Hedgesville man and left another critically injured Monday night.

West Virginia State Police in Martinsburg responded shortly after 9:30 p.m. on August 25 to a crash on the 1300 block of Buck Hill Road.

Authorities say a Porsche sedan veered off the road and struck a tree on the passenger side.

The passenger, 19-year-old Bryant Anderson, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver, 22-year-old Bryce Anderson, was airlifted to Inova Fairfax Medical Campus with life-threatening injuries.

State police have said the investigation into what caused the crash remains ongoing.
