The Seattle Seahawks’ inside linebacker room remains a question mark due to the health of Tyrice Knight and the uncertainty of the depth below Knight and Ernest Jones IV. It was expect that after what appeared to be a good training camp and preseason that Patrick O’Connell would be able to make the initial 53-man roster this year.

Evidently, that’s not the case.

ESPN’s Brady Henderson reported on Tuesday that the Seahawks are waiving O’Connell for the third consecutive season.

O’Connell and Drake Thomas have been the second-team linebackers throughout the offseason and preseason.
