JOHNSON COUNTY, Iowa -- An Iowa deputy faces an OWI charge after a traffic stop in Tiffin, Iowa, according to a news release from the Johnson County Sheriff's Office.

Shortly before 11 p.m. Saturday, a Johnson County Sheriff’s deputy initiated a traffic stop in Tiffin for a stop sign violation. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Cody O’Hare, a deputy with the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office, who was off duty at the time.

The deputy noticed "signs of alcohol consumption" coming from O’Hare, the release says. A sheriff’s office supervisor was notified, and the Iowa State Patrol was contacted to investigate.
