KOKOMO, Ind. — A Kokomo man has been arrested after allegedly driving drunk with a suspended license and blowing a BAC more than four times the legal limit .
According to court documents, a Kokomo Police Department officer was doing a routine patrol around 12:45 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 24 when they saw a 2013 black GMA Terrain cross into the oncoming lanes of traffic on Markland Avenue approaching Diamond Street and hit a cub on the other side of the road.
Court documents say the driver, 30-year-old Edward Hale, backed up across four lanes and turned onto Diamond Street.
The officer said he then stopped Hale.
During the traffic stop, court documents say Hale took an "abnormal amount of time" to open the door, and his head was "slumped forward" before he eventually opened the door.
