BLUFFTON, S.C. (WCSC) - The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office says it is investigating the threat of a possible explosive device at a store in Bluffton.

Deputies have responded to the Target on Fording Island Road. They say “a possible explosive device” was found outside of the CVS Pharmacy, which is inside the Target.

The sheriff’s office is warning of an increased law enforcement presence and is asking the public to avoid the area until the investigation is complete.

There is no word on any injuries.
