PEORIA ( 25News Now ) - As a kid looking for summer fun, vivid memories flood my mind.

I remember riding my bicycle down the suburban Wisconsin roads. I can picture the baseball bat in my hands as I watched the opposing pitcher hurl a fastball into the catcher’s mitt.

Not only that, I couldn’t possibly forget savoring an ice cream cone at Kelley Country Creamery.

However, those experiences were not as memorable for me as the summer road trips I took with my family.

That was part of my inspiration for creating Your Hometown for 25News WEEK-TV. I desired to relive those childhood memories, in hopes that families and people of all ages could experience something similar.
