UPDATED 6:15 p.m. Sunday, August 24, 2025 -- The 1-1 Fire has now burned 500 acres.

LASSEN COUNTY, Calif. -- The 1-1 Fire started Sunday, August 24, 2025 at 10:45 a.m. near Sand Canyon and Belfast Rd. in an area to the east of Susanville. The cause is under investigation.

The CAL FIRE Lassen-Modoc Unit was initially listed as being in charge of operations, but now that has been changed to the Bureau of Land Management.

The wildfire has burned 250 acres and there is no containment at this time.
