IOWA (KCAU) — Labor Day weekend is right around the corner, which means an influx of drivers will soon be hitting the road.

The Iowa State Patrol is sharing tips for drivers to stay safe this weekend.

They say if you're going on a trip, give yourself extra time due to higher traffic volume.

"You're going to see an increase in traffic. People just need to make sure that they're slowing down, taking their time, and getting to their destination safely," said Iowa State Patrol
