Panguitch High School hosted a high school football game for the first time in a half century on Saturday, taking on the Water Canyon Wildcats from Hildale.

With a brand-new scoreboard hanging on the west wall of the adjacent gymnasium and goalposts that had just been installed the day before Saturday’s game, Panguitch High is still in the process of getting things figured out, Principal Russ Torgersen noted.

“It’s a learning curve for all of us right here, right now, even getting the facilities ready, but we're excited to have football and have kids involved in something that maybe they've never done before,” Torgersen told Cedar City News during the game.
