The Douglas High School junior varsity volleyball started the season 6-0, winning the South Lake Tahoe Fall Volleyball Classic.

Genoa Lakes Ladies’ GC championship

Twenty-five members in four flights competed for the 2025 Genoa Lakes Ladies’ Golf Club Championship during a two-day tournament at the Lakes course Aug. 19 and 21. Peggy Lyon was crowned the winner, with a gross score of 174. Second place went to Sherrie Millichap, who scored 175. Flight winners were: Gail Taylor (flight 1); Jeanne Fadem, Mary Zimmerman (flight 2); Barb Wilson, Gail Teig, Linda Thompson (flight 3); Jackie Aynesworth, Susan MacDonald (flight 4).

Membership in the club is open to women golfers 18 and older. The 2025 season will end Oct. 4. The 2026 season will start the first Tuesday in April.
