JASPER, Ala. —

A man accused of causing the lockdown in several schools in Jasper is behind bars. The chaos started after police said the man killed his stepfather and shot his mother and took off running.

Police identified the man as Nathaniel Anderson. Video shot by Lorie Robbins and her husband Tim shows the moment he was arrested—accused of a double shooting.

Police said officers were called to a house on Devon Drive just after 10:30 in the morning.

Anderson is accused of shooting his mother Carol Minor and killing his stepfather Ronald Minor and running off, which started a lengthy manhunt.

Lorie Robbins told WVTM 13 she lives just two houses down from where the shooting happened. She said she was running an errand at Walmart when she got a call from a friend who told her not to
