The California redistricting effort has caught the ire of President Donald Trump, who threatened to sue the state over the initiative on Monday.

Now, opposition mailers are arriving in the mailboxes of California voters, trying to sway them before the November special election.

If you've received mailers urging a "no" vote on California's redistricting response to Texas, you're not alone. Some arrived in mailboxes even before the California legislature voted to support the effort.

One of the mailers quoted the League of Women Voters of California president, making it seem like the organization endorsed the "no" campaign.
