NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - North Charleston Police say a search for a gunman is ongoing following a shooting Tuesday afternoon.
Police responded to the area of Montague Avenue and Gaynor Avenue around 4:15 p.m. after receiving reports of a shooting.
Police spokesman Harve Jacobs confirmed one person was injured. Preliminary reports show that person was a 45-year-old man. He was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. There is no update on his current condition.
Officers say detectives are investigating and working to find out just what led up to the shooting, but no arrests have been made at this time.
Police are asking that anyone with information submit an anonymous tip through their CrimeWatch app or web page .
There is no word on a description of the shooter.
