The Bellevue City Council voted on Monday to approve a budget of $7,644,965 for fiscal year 2026, a budget 1.55% smaller than last year.
The general fund budget of $2,511,815 is 5.25% more than last year’s budget of $2,386,470 and reflects several changes to funding for city departments.
“We remain dedicated to providing essential public services of water and wastewater, which are critical to the well-being of our community” wrote Mayor Christina Giordani in a memo included in the City Council’s meeting documents.
There were no comments made by the public at the meeting, the final budget hearing of the year. Councilwoman Suzanne Wrede cast the only vote in opposition to the budget.
