MINNEAPOLIS — One man is dead and another was wounded by gunfire in Minneapolis early Wednesday morning.

The shooting was one of three that occurred within 12 hours of each other, with the first incident happening around 2 p.m . Tuesday in south Minneapolis. One person died and six others were injured.

Then around 8 p.m. Tuesday, a second shooting left one man dead and another injured near East 27th Street and 3rd Avenue South.

According to the latest press release from the Minneapolis Police, the third deadly shooting occurred around 2 a.m. Wednesday morning on the 800 block of Hennepin Avenue. Responding officers found a man dead from gunshot wounds at the scene. A second victim is recovering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound at Hennepin Healthcare.
