LITTLE VILLAGE — Multiple employees fired from a Target distribution center this month have stepped forward to claim the company falsely linked many of the hundreds of terminated workers to a medical benefits fraud scheme.
Between 400 to 700 workers were fired at the Southwest Side distribution center, 3501 S. Pulaski Road, during a two-week period from late July to early August, multiple current employees told Block Club. The current employees said fired staff members participated in a sweeping fraud scheme that bilked the corporation out of roughly $1.3 million.
Yet several former workers who were fired this month say the people who were terminated had no involvement with a scam.
