LUMBERTON — A century-old building in downtown Lumberton will soon have new life as a event hub at the city center.

Kinship NC will soon open as an event space at 304 North Elm Street in the Carlyle Building after major renovations are complete.

“We will cater to private events for birthday parties, corporate meetings, family reunions, bridal showers, wedding receptions, things of that nature,” said Shereese Lynn-Cromartie, one of the partners developing the business. “It’s 3,100 square feet so we cater to hosting private events for the community, and we would actually be offering some community events as well.”
