NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. (FOX 56) — Maybe every child's favorite time during the school day is lunch time.
It's a chance to catch up with friends over a meal, and not have to worry about algebra or U.S. History.
But feeding all those kids is no small feat. It requires a lot of hard work, teamwork, and, of course, a lot of food.
Especially since many Kentucky school districts, like Jessamine County Schools, for example, don't just serve lunch every single day, they also serve breakfast for students.
A big push by district administrators in recent years has been to offer breakfast and lunch to students every day, free of charge.
It's a step to ensure no kid goes hungry, but logistically speaking, making it all happen is organized chaos.
