Wetaskiwin RCMP’s Crime Reduction Unit and the Central Alberta District Crime Reduction Unit conducted a joint operation in Edmonton which resulted in the arrest of 41-year-old Scott Dolbec.

Dolbec was wanted for escape lawful custody out of Saskatoon, and accumulated an additional 33 outstanding charges originating from around the Edmonton Metropolitan Area, including Edmonton, Red Water, Fort Saskatchewan, Leduc and Swan Hills.

Officers were able to locate Dolbec at an Edmonton residence, where he fled on an e-bike following an attempted arrest. Following a brief escape attempt, Dolbec was taken into custody.

Dolbec was remanded into custody following a bail hearing, with various court dates and court houses in his future.
