SACRAMENTO, Calif. — CAL FIRE has launched the "Set, Go" campaign to encourage Californians to prepare for potential wildfire evacuations.

The campaign, running from August through October, emphasizes the importance of creating a family wildfire action plan, packing an emergency supply kit and evacuating early when wildfires threaten. "Your Home. Your Community. Your California." is the new umbrella message for the campaign, aiming to create a sense of shared responsibility for wildfire readiness.

CAL FIRE is working to change outcomes through education, defensible space programs, fuel reduction and local partnerships. The campaign highlights that communities work together to create wildfire-prepared environments.
