CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. (WIVB) -- When you think of a country club, you might picture pristine greens and polo shirts, but the Cheektowaga Country Club is turning that image upside down.

Upon stepping inside, the space feels more like a retro playground than a traditional golf venue. Guests find 18 holes of mini-golf, throwback arcade games and plenty of room to relax with friends.

“People love it. They think it’s great. We’ve had people say it’s their new favorite place,” said owner Brad Smith. “They’ve called it their ‘third place.' You have home, you have work and then this becomes the third place.”

The club’s mini-golf course adds a twist to the familiar game. Instead of standard greens, players might find themselves putting across a bowling alley or over linoleum floors.
