LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – LFR investigated a “suspicious article” in a southeast Lincoln neighborhood early Wednesday morning.

Lincoln Fire & Rescue spokeswoman MJ Lierman said a homeowner near 46th Street and Normal Boulevard found the article.

A hazardous device technician with LFR is at the scene, according to Lierman.

Streets in the area were blocked off during the investigation.

A Channel 8 reporter at the scene said the Lincoln Police Department and Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office responded to the call.

In an update around 9:30 a.m., Lierman said the device was found to be of “no threat.”
