JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (WTAJ) -- Funding to help bring dental services to the underserved and uninsured people within Johnstown has been obtained through the help of State Representative Frank Burns (D-Cambria).
The $242,000 grant will allow Hyndman Health to purchase equipment to fill six to eight new dental suites, better helping the community's patients, who consist of many Medicaid recipients and uninsured individuals.
The health center already provides medical services to those in the area and is now looking to expand care into the dental field.
“We’re looking at trying to buy a building, and build a brand new series of six to eight dental suites to serve the community – including the underserved and uninsured community,” Dr. Brian Stratta, CEO and Chief Medical Officer for Hyndman Health,
